Why your app goes out under your name

Apple says apps made with a service like Quiny must be published by the business behind them. Here is what that means for you.

Apple's App Review Guidelines say that apps made with an app generation service are rejected unless the business behind the app submits them itself. That's guideline 4.2.6, and it applies to Quiny.

So your app is published from your own Apple developer account. It costs $99 a year, paid to Apple, and it takes some paperwork: Apple checks who you are, and a business account needs a D-U-N-S number, which is free but can take a few days.

The upside is real. The App Store listing, the reviews and the customer relationship are yours. I'll walk you through the account when you're ready to publish, not before.
