These terms

These terms cover your use of Quiny, the service that builds mobile apps from a conversation. “We” means the people who run Quiny, and “you” means the person or business with the account. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Early access

Quiny is new and still changing. Features may change, pause or stop, and there may be mistakes. Don't rely on Quiny as the only copy of anything important.

Your account

  • You need to be old enough to make a contract where you live, and at least 18.
  • Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Cost

Quiny charges nothing yet. Before we charge anything, we'll tell you what it costs and ask you to agree. Each account has a budget for the building Quiny does, and building stops when it's reached.

Apple, Expo and any other service you connect or your app uses have their own terms and prices. You deal with them directly.

What you make

  • What you write, and the text, images and data you give Quiny, stay yours.
  • You let us store and process them, and send them to the services that run Quiny, as far as that's needed to build and run your apps. The privacy page lists those services.
  • Your apps are published under your own Apple developer account. You're responsible for your apps: what they say, how they treat the people who use them, and whether they meet Apple's rules and the law, including any privacy policy they need.
  • While you build, your apps' code and databases are kept in Quiny's accounts. Moving them into accounts of your own is done by hand for now, as a paid option.

What you can't do

  • Build apps that are illegal, deceptive, or harmful to the people who use them.
  • Use Quiny to write malware, send spam, or attack other systems.
  • Try to reach other people's apps or data, or get around Quiny's limits and budgets.
  • Put other people's passwords or secrets into the chat.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we do, we'll tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.

Ending

You can stop using Quiny at any time. When you delete an app, it disappears from your account, but we keep its code and conversation for a while so it can be restored if you ask.

No guarantees

Quiny is provided as it is. Code written by an AI can have bugs, so test your app before your customers rely on it. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months.

Changes

We'll update these terms as Quiny changes and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it applies.
